On June 7, 2024, the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) published the FDA co-sponsored report 'The Role of Seafood in Child Growth and Development,' which concluded there was not enough evidence to revise seafood amounts recommended in the Dietary Guidelines for Americans.
