The ethanolamine discovery was made in the molecular cloud G+0.693-0.027, located near the center of the Milky Way.

Confirmed by peer-reviewed PNAS publication (Rivilla et al. 2021) and corroborated by institutional press releases from CSIC and IAC, all consistent on the discovery location and nature of the finding.
